BRAND INTEGRATION
The 2022/23 edition of Amazon University Esports saw the involvement of major brands that played a central role in shaping the project’s success. As naming partner, Amazon led the way in supporting the entire project; alongside Samsung, Intel and Fritz! contributed with impactful integrations — from branded content and digital campaigns to on-campus activations and workshops. Each brand had the opportunity to interact directly with the Gen Z audience in meaningful and engaging ways, positioning themselves at the heart of university gaming culture.
OUR APPROACH
King Esport was the strategic mind and operational engine behind the entire project. From designing the competitive structure and managing tournaments across multiple game titles, to producing weekly broadcasts and engaging students online, every detail was carefully curated. We brought the experience directly to campuses with a series of live activations, workshops and ambassador-led programs in 9 universities across Italy. At the same time, we cultivated a strong online presence through social content, community-building initiatives and a dedicated influencer campaign involving 10 content creators selected and coordinated by our team. Throughout the season, we worked closely with top brands and publishers to integrate their presence meaningfully across all touchpoints — ensuring the project was not only competitive, but also educational, inclusive and culturally relevant for the next generation of gamers.

IMPACT
Live Event – Two-Day LAN Finals The season culminated in a two-day live LAN event, held in Milan in May 2023. Produced by King Esport, the finals featured a fully equipped esports stage with professional production and live casting. - Fourteen university teams in each title competed on-stage for national titles - Extensive live production across multiple game feeds, complete with host commentary - On-site activation zones featuring sponsor showcases, product trials and free-play areas - Interactive fan activities including community matches, meet-and-greets and prize giveaways The finals not only showcased the highest level of student esports competition in Italy, but also served as a vibrant networking and cultural moment for attendees — blending gameplay, education, community and brand engagement into a compelling live experience.
